Request for Funding (RFF)
Supporting Educators who are working to promote innovation, arts, youth sports and team activities, and literacy. Requests For Funding are for amounts in excess of $500 with no top cap.
During the 2024-2025 school year, $30,567 in Requests for Funding were approved by OSDEF. These include:

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BIZTOWN — Clarendon $2,025 This project combined in-class learning for fifth graders with a day-long visit to a simulated town in Tempe. Students had the opportunity to interview for various positions in banks, restaurants and other organizations and then gain practical experience in those roles for a day. This made for invaluable connections between the classroom and real life.

MONTESSOSRI PRESCHOOL OVERNIGHT CAMPING EXPERIENCE — Montecito $4.570 After an over-night trial-run experience at the school, pre-schoolers in the Montessori Program spent a day and night at Camp Tontozona in Payson as part of their social studies and science curriculum.
These projects would not have been possible without support from sponsors and attendees at the Teachers of the Year event.
